I don’t know about you, but I have a lot of friends who are spending this weekend at various Cons. There’s a writer’s conference in New York, the Harry Potter convention Ascendio in Orlando, and of course San Diego’s Comic Con. It is only day 2 of these various events and I have already had to endure an obnoxious amount of tweets and Facebook posts about all the awesome things these friends have seen and all the fun they are having.
The green eyed monster has reared his ugly head and is now stomping about like petulant toddler. I wanna go too!!
Show of hands, how many of you feel the same way? Yep. That’s what I thought. I see all of your hands waving in the air.
Thankfully there are places where those of us unfortunate to not be there can go to check out the latest happenings when our curiosity overrides our overwhelming jealousy.
A great place to go for Comic Con coverage is Hypable.com. They are even doing live blogs of several of the key events.
For those of you who, like me, are unable to attend Comic Con, which panels would you want to see if you were there? I’d want to see Merlin, The Hobbit, Game of Thrones, and Glee (to start with
). And if you are one of the people lucky enough to be there, what panels have you seen and which do you hope to see in the upcoming days? Let me know in the comments.
Yep, my green eyed monster is rearing it’s head too. I’ll probably never be able to make it to any con so I’m extra jealous.
I feel your pain!
I’d be seeing the Glee, Doctor Who and Once Upon A Time panels
I wouldn’t mind seeing the Comic-Con in San Diego. But I’m not a huge fan of monster crowds, so I’ll make do with the blogs and tweets.
I need to totally save up for next year. My inner nerd is whispering death threats to me now. Wanna be roomies!?
YES!!!! You surrrre you can’t make it to Leaky and split a room with me?
Oh, my God. Jess, don’t tempt me. Seriously. It’ll probably cost me over $500 to do it.
BUT we need to make a date for SDCC next year. I’ll start saving my pennies!!
Okayyy, I’ll let you go on Leaky (this time
), but SDCC is happening next year. It’s a date, lady!!
Yep, when all the WANAs went to the Yale Club in New York without me during Thrillerfest, I was a flourescent, vivid shade of green.
I, too, wish I was at some of the cool conferences, although my understanding about San Diego is that it’s gotten mad crazy in the past few years. I’ll be going to RWA in a week, so I’m excited about that. I tried to log onto that website you mentioned in your post, but my security blocking won’t let me
Guess I’ll have to find another way to keep track of all the great panels.

I was there.
I’m there every year. You should go. You would totally love it! For the shows you mentioned, be prepared to wait in VERY long lines. ;D
Karen and I are already making plans to go together next year.
I don’t care how long of a line I have to wait in if I get to see the actors and production teams of my favorite shows! So worth it.
