With August coming to an end and September right around the corner it’s time to get prepared for start of the new fall season of television. This year there are many new shows that will be debuting and even more old favorites returning. I haven’t yet decided which new shows I plan on checking out, but there are a ton of returning goodies that I can’t wait to tune in to.
Glee premieres on September 13 on Fox and I am ready for this new “revolutionary” season.
Grimm returns to its regular time slot on September 21 on NBC after and early post Olympic premiere this past Monday.
New Girl returns to Fox on September 25. “Who’s that girl? It’s Jess!”
Modern Family premieres the next day, September 26, on ABC.
The Big Bang Theory rounds out the week of sitcom returns that I’m looking forward to on September 27 over at CBS.
And finally, Once Upon a Time returns to ABC on September 30. ***Sidenote: I have joined a new podcast called Onceable, which is all about this fantastic show. I will be joining four other wonderful ladies (including fellow blogger Karen Rought) starting with episode 2 of the podcast. You can check it out on Hypable or iTunes.
There are many other shows that I watch – yes, I watch way too much TV – but these are the ones I’m most looking forward to. What about you? Are you excited about any of the shows I have mentioned? I was so happy to learn that both Grimm and Once Upon a Time had been renewed. I’ll have to stop by and try out Onceable.
I’m also wondering if the new Sherlock Holmes show on CBS will be any good.
You say you don’t know yet which new shows you’re going to check out. There are a couple that I’m interested in at least starting to watch to see if they’re good enough to stick with, and they are NBC’s Revolution (though after the debacle with Heroes, I don’t want to get my hopes up on another big concept NBC show) and ABC’s Nashville.
Since you watch Glee and Smash like I do, then maybe you should check out Nashville (starring Connie Britton), since it looks like that show is going to be ABC’s take on a TV musical.
I’m looking forward to Modern Family, New Girl, The Middle, and Happy Endings. My interest in Glee has fizzled out. We’ll see if they can re-spark my interest. And I might have watched Dancing With the Stars if Bristol Palin wasn’t on it. Don’t think I can stomach that.
I think I’ll just stick with the sit coms and try to spend more time reading and writing than watching TV.
Glee Once Upon A Time, Pretty Little Liars, Doctor Who Season 7 and of course I’m still watching Merlin
I am also excited about the return of Once Upon A Time. The concept of that show is so cool. And, bonus, my husband and I both like it!
We are also looking forward to the return of Castle, Blue Bloods, and, hopefully, Justfied. My husband also likes to watch Leverage, but I’m not quite as into that one.

Revolution (aka NBC’s Hunger Games
and the returning comedies: Modern Family, New Girl, Community. Like many others, I’ve developed Glee fatigue 
Hope to start watching Pretty Little Liars on Netflix soon.
On my list: Once Upon A Time, Castle, the Good Wife, Revolution, Smash (although I don’t think that comes back until January), Nikita…that’s all I can think of right now.
